Walking with three kids and a dog

Fleeting Moments of Clarity

Fleeting moments of joy: Jacob comes home from school very excited. He is learning to read Torah. He is excited and happy.

The kids put on an improvised show. They are happy and cute and pure.

Abigail hugs Sheba. Pure love.

Calm.

Seeing everything in terms of anxiety calms me down. The anxiety is so unnecessary. Thoughtfulness must prevail. Think, think, think and stay calm.

In these moments of clarity, it all seems so simple. Write it down, again and again, try to hold on to it before it slips away in a fit of anxiety. How to hold on?
