Camp

We finally arrived at camp at 4 p.m. EST. We were told to arrive between 4 and 6 p.m. for a visit and when we got there we found Jacob and Mike hanging out. We realized, however, that it was in fact 3 p.m. at camp. For some reason, Camp Ballibay is on CST. Anyway, Jacob showed us around camp and his cabin. We gave him some goodies and visited with him for awhile. It was raining and we needed to get to the hotel to check in and get ready to go back to camp for the show. So relieved to find that Jacob is happy at camp and isn't going to throw himself at my feet and beg me to take him home with me. More later.

Jim Thorpe, PA

This is where I had my coffee this morning!

We spent the night in Jim Thorpe. This town is nestled in the mountains (probably hills, actually, but I am from the midwest, so to me they are mountains) and was built in the 1800s around a coal mine. It is picturesque. That is so cliche, but I am too tired to think of anything else to say, so I will state the obvious, using a cliche.

Karen and I had a great dinner at this little vegetarian/local/organic restaurant. Thanks goodness we didn't bring the kids! We are going to sleep in tomorrow and then walk around the little town. We will leave here around 1 or 2 p.m. and then start driving the two hour drive to Camptown. I can't wait to see Jacob!!!!!!!

Road Trip

I am so excited!!!! I figure out how to post a picture to my blog! I figure it out all by myself. I first figured out how to get the pictures off my camera and onto my laptop. I am slowly starting to figure out the love affair everyone has with all things Mac. More to come later now that I figure this out I can start seriously blogging. We are now in Jim Thorpe, PA getting ready to go out to dinner at a local, vegetarian restaurant. Can't wait!
